The Mount Gilead Church of Christ began when a small group of believers gathered passionately to start a Church of Christ within the village of Mt Gilead.  The year was 1963.  They began meeting in the local Grange Hall but soon held services in the Seniors on Center building.  The church hired its first full-time minister, Dale Snell, in 1963, who ministered with the church for twenty-eight years until his retirement.​The goal of those believers was to impact this community for Christ. More than 50 years later, that continues to be our goal.  So, we continue to change and grow to do all we can to lead people to Jesus.
