Doug grew up in Zanesville, where he and his family attended the North Terrace Church of Christ.  Upon graduation from high school, he attended Kentucky Christian College, where he met his wife Kay, with whom he has shared life for more than 40 years. One week after marriage, they began ministering part-time with a small church outside of Athens, Ohio. A year later, they went into full-time ministry with the Bainbridge Church of Christ. Doug and Kay were called to MGCC in 1990, and Mount Gilead has been home ever since. They love spending time with their family, especially their three grandchildren: Caroline, Madilyn, and Max. They also love to travel, see new places, and hang out with friends.  In addition, Doug enjoys geocaching and playing a little pickleball wherever he can find a game. Joshua 1:9b (NIV) - "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
 

Jerry is a 1986 graduate of Northmor High School and

He attended Cincinnati Bible College, where he met his wife, Debra. Together, they have three grown daughters and a 5-year-old son whom we adopted on August 11th of 2022, and they also provide foster care as needed. They have ministered previously with the Mt Gilead Church of Christ, Ontario Christian Church, and Dry Run Church of Christ Portsmouth Ohio From there, they helped plant a church in Portland Maine. Upon returning from Maine, we served at Community Christin church in Galion, Ohio, which was our final stop before returning to ministering again at MGCC.

Jerry serves part-time at the church as an associate pastor of outreach and community involvement. As a full-time vocation. Jerry is the sole proprietor of Snavely Painting and has done that since 2007. In his spare time, Jerry enjoys officiating basketball and has done that for the past 13 years. 

Jordyn and Jacob have been the youth leaders for grades 6-12 at Mount Gilead Church of Christ for four years. They have two sons, Judah (3) and Josiah (1). Their hobbies include anything that involves spending time together as a family and anything that involves being outdoors.

Their life verse is Ephesians 2:8-10 "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

Whitney Rotter has worked in ministry since the summer of 2021. She has an 8-year-old daughter. She enjoys watching her daughter participate in soccer, basketball, and cheer. Whitney also works with the Deaf community and is fluent in American Sign Language. Whitney is blessed to work with the children and their families at Mount Gilead Church of Christ.
